CHALLENGES THAT GROW THE KEY ASPECT OF WELLNESS: CONNECTION

Why Welltree

Just as strong trees thrive in healthy forests, at Welltree we know that individual wellbeing is closely linked to the health of the surrounding community. So we’re combining research, storytelling, and the science of connection to create innovative tools and accessible resources to help individuals, whānaus, teams, and communities grow healthy and resilient.

Individuals with strong, supportive work connections report more productivity and job satisfaction. When connection and sharing between individuals is strong, the team’s health, communication, and ability to share resources can grow strong as well.

At Welltree, we build on the wisdom of trees and the work of wellness experts to create customised health and wellness challenges. We work with companies and organisations to strengthen individual health and offer fun, engaging opportunities that build overall wellness and connection.

Your people are your most valuable asset. We’re here to help THEM grow strong.

Our CHALLENGES

The Waka Challenge is a virtual team race that includes group progress tracking, individual points and badges, and online, custom social boards to facilitate team interaction.

Grow Active & Strong. Together.

About Us

We’re a dedicated team of professionals who specialise in in fitness, sport development, mental health, and tech. After working with health departments in the UK, US, and New Zealand collectively, we’ve seen how programmes focused exclusively on individual health can lead to feelings of failure, burnout, and isolation. We’re working to create health challenges that foster connection and use the latest technology and mindfulness practises to engage participants both on their own and within groups and whānau.

We embrace the Te Wheke model of health developed by Rose Pere. Te Wheke is a Māori health model that represents eight overlapping dimensions of health and symbolises the interconnected nature of total wellbeing.
